- You will monitor the processes and procedures and ensure that the input and interests of all members and their constituents are taken into account in the council’s decision-making and recommendations.
- You ensure the active participation of all members of the Advisory Board and empower them.
- You will work with the agenda committee (project leader and two members) to set the agenda for the meetings.
- You will oversee and monitor the processes involved in issuing recommendations, stay well-informed about all areas of focus within the Advisory Board, and ensure that these are addressed.
- Can represent the Advisory Board externally in an independent manner and is easily accessible to internal and external contacts.
- Participates in working groups involved in the development of the annual plan and the annual report.
- May serve on the selection committee for the recruitment and selection of new members.
As chair:
- Do you have a clear vision of the Advisory Board’s purpose and how to work with the board members to shape the Advisory Board’s operations?
- Can you think analytically and strategically and maintain a comprehensive overview of the Advisory Board’s policy areas?
- You are familiar with administrative and municipal processes, which enables you to make strategic decisions.
- You can provide advice and coordinate.
- Do you possess strong communication, inspirational, and leadership skills, making you a unifying force within the Advisory Board?
- You do not work for the municipality or for an institution subsidized by the municipality. Membership on the municipal council or a district committee is also not permitted.
- Do you agree with the current structure of the Advisory Board (Regulations and Annual Plan) and are you able to provide guidance on this?
- Do you have administrative experience with a (volunteer) organization and experience chairing and preparing meetings?
